Business Continuance, Ltd (BCL) was founded in response to a market demand for a locally owned high end consulting company to service the entire spectrum of Disaster Recovery Planning from the Initial Needs Assessment , to Business Impact Analysis, to Technical Planning, Testing and when required High Availability and recovery in the midst of a disaster. This is a niche market that requires a Company that not only has experience in planning but also in implementation and roll out of recovery technologies and methodologies and stand by the client in the midst of an actual disasters.

Our entity has over fifty years experience internally and more than 45 years with our external resources. It is our opinion that these resources are not and were not being offered in Bermuda, the Caribbean and Latin America.

BCL has an innovative way of providing these services and through mentoring expand the skill set and knowledge bank of our clients. BCL has invested in partnerships and working relationships with reputable local businesses and where required international consultants who are subject matter experts in specific areas. In an ever increasing world market, regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) affect businesses that are incorporated Bermuda and the Caribbean but wish to do business in the U.S. The SOX regulation specifically mandates that Disaster Recovery (DR) plans have two parts. The first is putting systems in place to completely protect all financial and other data required to meet the reporting regulations and to archive the data to meet future requests for clarification of those reports. The second is to clearly and expressly document all these procedures so that in the event of a SOX audit, the auditors clearly see that the DR plan exists and will appropriately protect the data. Our consultants are experienced in working with clients to set up DR Plans as well as establish a Records Retention Programs that are in compliance with SOX and other laws and regulations. But it is not only important to have experience and knowledge in these areas but to also keep up with ever evolving rules and regulations that affect our clients.
